It is generally the first AP class that high school students take and it is good preparation for the AP classes you will take junior and senior year. It's a lot of textbook reading, but you have to work harder and this class than you usually do.
I learned about history in other countries, as opposed to the usual American History. It's interesting to learn about the Asian world and its history, but for the most part you're going more in depth in European and American history.

Always read the textbook. I usually read each chapter twice, first I read it, and then I took notes while reading it. You have to know the little details and the big picture, so study everything.
