Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The course is very comprehensive in its approach to determine what is American music and what has influenced it over the last decades. It was particularly interesting to learn the origins of what is rock and roll.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were the integration of YOUTUBE to listen to musical examples. Overall I have learned to appreciate music just a bit more by listening to certain cues and tones and identifying them.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

To be patient. The course starts off very slow and mundane as we analyze slavery and musci from the era but really picks up into the newer genres of music.
