    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Would recommend to strengthen essay writing and English language vocabulary.

    Course highlights:

Learned how to write essays in less than 41 minutes and how to break down long passages into something you can write about.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Practice makes perfect in this class. Really challenges your time management skills which will help in the future for standardized testing.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I believe that Hoadleys teaching techniques are beneficial and truly work. As the year went on, I felt like I grew stronger as a writer. From all the tips and tricks Hoadley shares with us, my essays become more literate and scholarly. He helped me understand hidden meanings behind books that I never realized, and he helped me develop skills to anotate and understand the purpose and meaning behind writings.

    Course highlights:

I would say the best part about this class is that you learn things that are hidden in between the lines. You dissect and understand the true meaning behind texts and writings and it makes them more real and understandable. Throughout the year, you learn tricks and tips to strengthen your writing and it's so cool to look back and see how much you grow as a writer.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't be lazy or upset with writing essays. You will write tons of them, but I promise you if you put in the work and try to understand what you're putting into them and what the feedback given means, you will become that much more of a stronger writer, and it's such a good feeling.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this class because it was challenging but also very entertaining. The pieces of literature were difficult however, they were a big help when it came to the actual AP test.

    Course highlights:

The teacher was great and taught me how to become a better writer through new techniques and ways of thinking. The discussions were always something that I would look forward to and most of the work was done in class so homework was minimal.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

The only "big" homework was to study 45 minutes of vocabulary for the week and it would ruin many grades. Stay on top of it because it will really help you when the AP test comes around and your diction is elevated! Keep up with current events and your reading as well because those sources will come in handy!
