Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Pangaio goes far and beyond to make sure you understand every chapter. She includes labs to enhance her lecture. The cat lab is the most fun and enlightening experience I had.

    Course highlights:

I learned both the anatomy and function of the skeleton, muscle, integumentary, respiratory and cardiovascular system. We also learned about the skin and all the tissues in the human body.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Before every test, make a stud guide out of the what to know list she provides. This method helped me be on top on my class all year.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is a great course and it really opens the way you view your body.

    Course highlights:

From taking this course i learned a variety of body functions and on top of that, got to physically view some of these structures/functions.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Study the book as much as you can and do not skip homework assignment. Procrastination will set you back so be organized and have a set plan for each quarter. You should be fine. :)

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This honors class has significantly more work required than even some AP courses. Do not take this course if you are going to do Honors Emerging Health in Senior year. Most of the students are Juniors but I think it's more valuable taking it as a senior so that you can remember more for you freshman year of college.

    Course highlights:

It is definitely valuable for future health professionals. One would learn about bones, tissues, and structures of the human body as well as nutrition and health related topics.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Printout her powerpoint and study those notes. I'm in top 10% of the class so this was sufficient. Also, listen to her talk. She's very interesting but the important thing is that things she says commonly show up on the test as essays.
