This class was tough.
Taking AP literature & composition allowed me to become a better writer in many aspects. Of course my grammar and diction improved by I was able to truly find my unique voice as an amateur writer. My teacher focused on improving who I elaborated. Prior to the course while writing about a topic I only hit surface level, but hehelped me dwell deeper into a topic. By demonstrating how to use examples to your advantage and write clearly so the readers can comprehend your though process. He bestowed onto his students a love for literature. He alwaysed encouraged creativity and independent thinking through seminars while enforcing us to extensively dissect the text to fully understand the purpose of a novel. His only goal was to improve our writing skills and his generosity never failed to show. I am extremely grateful to have had a teacher who cared about his students I will continue writing with purpose and independence because of Mr. Cuffe.
Although, the frequent research papers were difficult I felt that they prepared me for college level work. I expect college to be very hard but I know I am capable of writing well and I have been taught by the best. I also enjoyed the seminars where as a class we were giving the opportunity to create our own views of the text and form opinions and discuss even debate these opinions. These seminars allowed us to have a solid understanding of the book aswell as a foundation to write about.

Advice for students:
Take it! If you want to prepare yourself properly for college I 100% recommend. The only way to improve your writing skills is to constantly use them. Writing may seem difficult at first, but once you find your voice and understand the topic you will be able to express yourself with no problem. A pen and paper or in this day and age, keyboard and printer is a powerful tool at your disposal. It's a shame to allow your voice to go unheard.
