    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course as it pushes you to a more collegiate acdemic standard. A lack of studying will be seen in the result of the test score.

    Course highlights:

This course gives you a foretaste of what your academic career will eventually evolve to. It is also a college in high school course which is a great advantage going into college.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study. Go over notes attentively and study vocabulary consistently. It would be benificial to go over notes on your own after they are taught in class.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It is an interesting course. You cover a lot of history, but when I took it, we didn't cover all the information; which made it hard when taking the AP test.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were getting to know more about American history. It was nice to have a class just for that.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to study everyday. If you don't, you will not get the grades you want.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This history course is the single best class available to learn about a broad span of history necessary to be successful. The class is rigorous with constant note-taking and reading a section of the book each night being virtually the only way to succeed. Although the course load is intense, this class teaches you about most important aspects of American history.

    Course highlights:

After taking this course, I now feel that I have a broad understanding of our country's history. I have come across several references to american history if literature and everyday life which I can understand in a heartbeat. This class also helped me learn how to take notes, study, and pinpoint good test questions that a teacher might ask.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Reading of the book each night is a must. Review what was talked about in class and find more information about broad topics by reading more deeply into the chapter or searching online. There are many websites with study guides for the APUS course which will help you greatly on exams. Lastly, vocabulary questions are easy points and there is no reason not to look over a few words and definitions to boost your exam grade dramatically.
