Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to anyone that is a communications major or just interested in learning about different types of photography, advertising and even films.

    Course highlights:

During this course I learned how to focus on an image to figure out the artist's point of the work. As well as improving on how to write a report.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You have to be present in the class and not afraid to participate. Especially if you have Dr.Cohen as your professor. He's a nice guy, but makes sure that the class is on the same page.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The course was extremely eye opening. I learned to see through a different lens. Professor Hillier promoted a creative environment and we often viewed films where we could practice identifying some of what we learned in class. I would highly recommend taking this course if you can. Definitely worth it!

    Course highlights:

I thoroughly enjoyed the final presentations the students presented. The presentations incorporated many things that we learned from the semester in our very own short video. They were powerful videos that told a story on its own.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

It is really important to be open minded. Be open to learning about different perspectives and seeing from different angles. Also, it is important to take your paper seriously and definitely a good idea to participate in class discussions.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It's a great course that has legitimately changed the way I see the world and the visual images that shape it.

    Course highlights:

I learned that art isn't just "anything anyone wants it to be." There is so much more to images than people know to think about.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Have an open mind and really put your true thoughts an opinions into everything. Dont hold back cause this class really gives you the chance to be opinionated and you'll do better if you show your true honest opinions. Most importantly dont be lazy. Theres not much asked of you and if you follow the basic requirements and participate, it should be a foolproof way to get a good grade in college.
