Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The course is more in depth than what is covered in the Biology 1 class. The course is a good prerequisite to any college course. The information is conceptual and very applicational, as well. The class is good preparation for the AP Biology Test.

    Course highlights:

The activities and labs were very helpful to comprehend the concepts we were learning in class. Studying over the results of those labs also helped on the test.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you have a good studying plan. Do not take the class just to take an honors course. It can be challenging, but the information is interesting and can be helpful beyond the classroom. Biology relates to us since it is the study of life

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is an excellent tool to have going into college. It has taught me a lot about cells and human anatomy. It has been one of the only classes that I think I have actually benefited from. If you are choosing to pursue a career in the medical field, this is definitely a course you would want to take.

    Course highlights:

We were able to have the opportunity to view an open-heart, triple bypass surgery with a mitral valve replacement. I was personally selected among my classmates to attend this field trip and it was life changing. After that field trip, I was truly able to determine what I wanted to be whenever I graduated high school. It showed me a lot of what I would be dealing with in the medical field and it was very educational and very informative. I think that if I did not go on this trip, I would have been so set on the career I plan on going into now. It taught me a lot about myself and what I would be able to handle and the amount of pressure I would be under. It was just a great experience that really opened my eyes to a whole new world I've never really seen up close before.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you study! If you don't study, you will never know what's going on. I studied for hours at a time and I succeeded and excelled in that class. It is easy to fall behind or forget about a test, but just try to keep everything organized and stay on top of things and you will be fine!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is a very deep biology class which is also advanced placement. It is very challenging and provides a deep understanding of the human body and life on earth.

    Course highlights:

I really loved learning the complexity of life and finding the actually flow of enzymes through even the organelles of the cells. It really makes you realize how much you don't know about you body.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Really start assignments as soon as you get them. Use the assignments to study for the tests and be ready for the AP test!
