    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

While I was in this class I took the IB course. It was tough! The class is not a joke. In the end I enjoyed it. I got to learn a lot of different types of point of views, plots, character types and more. It helps a lot for college classes.

    Course highlights:

We went a lot in character dynamics, plots, and themes.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Read! Do not sparknote the books, it does not help at all. There is usually not a wrong answer, but make sure it is well thought out.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because even though it was a lot of work, and pretty difficult to keep up with, it definitely honed my skills as a writer and taught me a lot.

    Course highlights:

I learnt about writing in the MLA format for the first time. It was also the first time I had experienced such harsh grading, but it definitely taught me what professors in colleges look for. A highlight of this course would be the in-class discussions we had over short stories and how our professor blew our minds with her analysis.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would say to definitely read the syllabus and keep track of your work. On more than one occasion I had to rush an essay, and the rushing and lack of planning definitely made a difference in the quality of work I produced. Time management and planning are some tips I would give students considering this course.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because the professor is a hard-working man that wants to see his students prosper. He goes out of his way in order to make sure that all his students are up to date on everything.

    Course highlights:

Throughout this course I learned how to write a couple different style of papers. It helped me improve my MLA format and with the help of my classmates, they helped me correct any errors on my essays.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would say always start your assignments as early as possible. You should always make sure to take your time and carefully review your work to make sure it is the best it could be. You should learn how to manage your time so you will not be too stressed with homework.
