    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

AP English Language and Composition with Ms. Reisinger was the most difficult class I have ever taken. The workload was insane and Ms. Reisinger is a really strict teacher and a tough grader. However, I learned so much about my own study habits and I developed my writing skills further than I had previously thought was possible. The course was very heavy on writing; we wrote over 16 essays in 18 weeks. The majority of the writing was also timed. While this was terrifying early on, I now have no trouble writing in a timed environment, which is really useful for SATs, AP exams, and a lot of other classes. I would recommend this class to people who want to challenge themselves, people who want to develop writing skills, and people who are ready for hard work.

    Course highlights:

This class prepared me very thoroughly for timed writing and writing for scholarships and college essays. I am a much stronger writer now than I had been before. It was also challenging to the point that it helped me learn how best to read, write, and study and it taught me how to better manage my time.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be ready for a lot of writing. Manage your time. Most importantly, be patient. The class is difficult and your grade may fluctuate wildly, but if you hang in there and really work at it, it'll pay off and be really useful in other classes.

She was so mean! Everything we did in that class had no meaning to me.
