Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because Mrs. Maranan teaches the subject in a way that's easy to understand. I never had a problem with any subject in her Biology class. In case you are struggling, she offers weekly tutorials. The tests weren't too difficult at all, either. To get through her class, you just have to do one thing; study!

    Course highlights:

I learned all about cells, such as the movement of them and osmosis. I learned about human body systems such as the Circulatory system and Skeletal system. I learned about the environments, such as Primary Succession and Secondary Succession. Overall, I learned about how animals live and how their body performs the necessary functions.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I studied an hour before every test. In Mrs. Maranan's class, she gives you papers to put in a composition notebook; use it! That's the thing that will get you an A in her class!

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to those with a great amount of excess time. Anyone that does well with classes heavily rooted in extensive reading would work in this course with ease. However, those who already have a full schedule with several other AP courses may struggle to find time for the several at home reading assignments.

    Course highlights:

Throughout this course, we had a few labs to further our knowledge of the subject at hand. However, the course was mostly centered around reading the chapter and taking the assessments. So, we learned most of our key concepts through reading, YouTube, and in-class discussions.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Always make sure to read the packet, including the notes and extra study guides.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Mrs. Maranan is a great teacher and she is always available for help when needed, even if you are in class in the middle of a discussion she will stop to help if you do not understand.

    Course highlights:

Being that it is biology we do many hands on labs and those are always fun yet educational because they help you understand the topic we are discussing. I learned that if you do not read like you are supposed to then you will not understand anything and catching up will be difficult.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

read the chapter packets that she assigns and then go to youtube to get an even better understanding, so that way when it comes to class discussions you won't be the mute student that can't relate to anything about the notes, she loves when her students talk to her.
