Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Guerard is a fantastic teacher, and if your taking the semester course, you get time to do homework in class. The math in BC is much easier to understand than the math in Pre-Calculus.

    Course highlights:

I learned about derivatives which are used in numerous other subjects like economics and physics.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed in BC you need to pay attention in class and do the homework. Without the homework I would not have done as well as I have in the class. Also, if you are not a math person make sure to study and talk to the teacher before or after school to get help.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is challenging but pushes you to grow as a math student. The work is mostly done in class which is helpful because students get to ask the teacher questions rather than being confused at home. This course is well worth the credit hours and offers a great amount of basic calculus knowledge to prepare you for college courses.

    Course highlights:

I have learned to be grateful for time in class to do homework and ask questions. Mr. Guerard was the highlight of this course for me because he was extremely helpful and eager to answer questions.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed in this course you must take advantage of the time in class to do homework. Also, even when it seems there is no allotted homework you must take advantage of that as well and study or do a few extra practice problems to ensure you know the information.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is taught by an amazing teacher. Mr. Guerard puts a ton of effort into not only his teaching but also the extra help. BC Calculus also gives double the credit hours as AB and offers a greater learning ability while still in high school.

    Course highlights:

This course is challenging but the best part is that there is usually over 45 minutes in class for you to do your homework. This seems too easy but it allows students to ask the teacher questions and get help rather than being confused at home.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed in this class you must be present and engaged in class so that when it comes time to practice the problems you know what you are doing. Also you must take advantage of the time in class to work on your homework and ask questions because the teacher wants to help.
