Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course bridged the gap between seemingly useless mathematics and the real world we live in. I began to really see the practical applications of algebra, geometry, and calculus in the world of physics and other sciences. I would highly recommend doing every assignment and making sure you have mastered the lesson before moving on to the next section, because this class builds off of itself continuously. Also, don't be afraid to ask for help! Teachers are a great resource and are more than happy to help if anyone is stuck. They don't mean to leave anyone behind, but if you are confused and don't ask, how will they know? Don't be embarrassed, often you are not the only one with that question.

    Course highlights:

I loved seeing physics problems worked out with calculus. Additionally, I enjoyed working with derivatives and their practical applications, as well as related rates and integrals. Overall, it was a very enjoyable introduction into the world of useful math.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Always do the homework, always ask questions, and don't let the word 'calculus' scare you at all. There are almost unlimited resources out there for you to use, including Khan Academy and NMSI in case for whatever reason you don't want to ask your teacher for help. Don't stress out, once you gain a grasp of derivatives and the overall course, it really does get easier.
