Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is very important for learning about the racial issues in America and the lasting effects that are still in existence well after slavery.

    Course highlights:

It's very discussion heavy and there are many opportunities to have a well developed conversation with the class. The professor uses many sources from books to videos online that further the learning experience.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be very interactive in the class especially during discussion. No need to be apprehensive because the conversations are very eye opening and the more the students understand, the better it is.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This has been one of the most intriguing course I have taken through out my college experience. The material is slightly hard to grasp however, it is so relatable to social issues with in present society that your automatically interested and eager to learn about it.

    Course highlights:

What is race? Is one of the big topics discussed in this course. I learned that race has such an inconsistent definition that really effects the "right" way to evaluate and or racially lump people together. Another thing I found really interesting is how people naturally make assumptions off of gender schemas. A gender schema is a pre-consumed notion about someone and how they will perform or what they would prefer based on their gender.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be open minded and try not to incorporate your opinion into learning this material.
