Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

As a medical diagnostics major, I found this course very interesting as it differed from the other classes that I had taken during my first semester of freshman year. I loved exploring outside my major because it helped me recognize other potential interests of mine that I may not have noticed otherwise.

    Course highlights:

From this course, I learned the different ways in which people are perceived by society. It helped me understand the different ways in which society has defined the word "deviance"throughout time. This course also explored the ways in which different groups and organizations are attempting to end the negative stigma that is often pinned on different members of society.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise students to truly understand the different topics covered in class rather than just memorizing the terms in order to pass. This class requires one to have the ability to state with detail different terms and theories and the ways in which they are used to describe different aspects of society.

    Advice for students:

I would advise students to try and really understand the terms and ways in which they are used in the world rather than just memorizing the definition. The key to this course was to be able to be able to explain with detail the different topics we covered rather than just memorizing terms without actually grasping the concept.
