    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it because it really gave me an entire new look on the way I perceive media intake on our culture. We are so immersed in social media and the visual culture of the contemporary period that we often don't realize how it is impacting us differently then it has previously.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were the lectures. I learned how to pay attention because they were long and contained a lot of important information. I learned a lot of information, however, and found that it applied to many other courses I took as well. You learn a lot about the nature of visual information and how easy it is for our brains to pick up information. I also learned a lot about how easy it is for the media and the advertising industry to manipulate its audience into feeling a certain way about something.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Work hard but also just really absorb the information you learn. So much of this course can be applied to our everyday lives. Don't just learn the information, but think about how it impacts you everyday in your life.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I had to drop her class because I couldn't stand

    Course highlights:

listening to her talk about sports any more.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

If you are truly interested in learning, don't take her class.
