Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I absolutely loved this class. The teacher was phenomenal and I learned so much in the class.

    Course highlights:

I learned everything from the first cell of bacteria to STDs.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take the class you will love it if you love the medical field. If you have a weak stomach don't take the class.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

If there is a class that truly makes learning fun, medical micro is it. Mrs. Bauman easily relates to her students and encourages everyone to learn. Fun activities and projects are regularly incorporated into lessons to help students grasp the subjects. Subjects are both interesting and informative. There is also a big trip at the end of the year for all students taking a class. I would recommend Medical Micro to anyone, especially those who have an interest in medicine and science.

    Course highlights:

A very thorough introduction to microbiology, we learned about all the branches of micro, how they functioned, and their impacts on the world. There were lots of group discussions on different scenarios and events that occurred in the past. There are a few group projects throughout the year, along with smaller sub-assignments every couple of weeks. The highlight of the class is the trip to the CDC in Atlanta, Georgia. The trip leaves nothing to be desired, including lots of informative and fun experiences.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't stress to much over the tests; all test material comes straight from the notes (which are very comprehensive) and in-class lessons.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

If there is one class that makes learning fun, this is it. Mrs. Bauman is a wonderful teacher who truly relates to her students and encourages them to succeed. Lots of fun activities are included in the class to help students comprehend material that can be convoluted and confusing if not explained well. Both an enjoyable and interesting class, that also includes a big trip near the middle of the year. I would recommend Medical Micro to anyone.

    Course highlights:

Obviously, we were able to learn a ton about microbiology. Highlights of the course were the the four different branches of micro, what made them work, what made them spread, and famous tragedies or names that had resulted from them. A few big projects are incorporated throughout the year to help explore large subjects. There is also a trip to the CDC in Atlanta that helps expand on topics learned while also being a lot of fun.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you like a moderate amount of structure in your class, then this is for you. There is a regular schedule that is followed (test or quiz every Tuesday, new lesson every Wednesday), but nothing is too rigid. Fun activities to help students learn are always incorporated into lesson plans, along with comprehensive notes and a teacher that is always willing to help. I would recommend not stressing too much over tests, because they directly come from the notes and lesson plans.
