    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The class is incredibly well instructed and while difficult, you will come out of this class having learned a great deal. Interesting writing assignments and class lectures.

    Course highlights:

I learned the ins and outs of the American court system and this class was a great prerequisite to further education in political science and law.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared for class. Read the book and take notes BEFORE the class. Listen to everything the instructor says and be attentive, many questions on the tests are taken straight from the lectures. Participate in class discussions and ask questions. Make sure you don't just know the information but UNDERSTAND and be able to apply it. Put in the work and read the material and you will do well.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course was a lot of work for an online class. There is a discussion, quiz, and activity every week as well as a final project of a 6 page report of a live trial that you have to view on your own time.

    Course highlights:

I did learn alot about the judicial system and all of the different courts. As well as I did my final paper on juvenile case so I learned a lot more about the juvenile justice system.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend reading every week and staying ahead of the game by already finding a trial to view quickly.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The course load is a lot. Every week there is a quiz, discussion, and an activity. Also at the end of the semester a 6 page report is due, it is pretty much like a chore. You have to view a live trial which is very time consuming and hard to find.

    Course highlights:

I gained a lot of knowledge about the judicial system and courts in general. I specifically learned more about juvenile court cases because I viewed a live one for the final project.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Maybe do not take it online, it is a lot of work and get ahead of the game by starting the research project early.
