    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend taking Immunology because the class goes in depth about our immune system and why humans get sick within amount of time. Immunology can be put into a story from start to finish that overlies how our body defends foreign cells and their interaction. Going into the medical field we can apply the knowledge we obtain from an immunology class to a patient that has no understanding of why his or her immune system is weak or necessarily has become ill.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was not to attempt to memorize everything on the professors powerpoint but you had to remember what you learned from chapter 1 as you go into chapter 12. Learning this material creates a story line that made an impact in my learning skills. This class showed me how to use my critical thinking and medical foundation to certain diseases to explain why certain patients acquire that disease.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Going into Immunology I would considering students starting to create an outline and timeline from day one of what you learn all the way through until the last day. Doing this, will help you look back at what you possibly forgot and it will be easier to pick up the material because you already have everything written out. I also would consider going to the professors discussion hours if you do not understand a certain concept because the professor will go into detail and give prime reality examples that you can fully understand.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

If you're a pre-medical student, learning how our body defends itself against pathogens is imperative. It's also interesting to see HOW our body has developed the mechanisms it has to be able to survive for as long as it has.

    Course highlights:

Just going through the process of different cells and how it works has been valuable in giving me a greater perspective of how finely-tuned out body is.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the textbook beforehand, take good notes in class, and ALWAYS review afterwards.
