    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is required for my major AND minor. Otherwise, I would have completely avoided it. This is definitely not a traditional math course. It's quite difficult and if you don't HAVE to take it, don't take it. Luckily, I had an AMAZING professor and great GTAs who made the class more understandable.

    Course highlights:

The biggest thing I learned from this course was how statistical research is done and how it plays a huge role in sociological data gathering.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

STUDY YOUR FORMULAS!!!! And retain this information. This is not a class where you can "data dump" on a test and forget about it. We used methods and formulas from Day 1 all the way to the end.

    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Prof. Underwood is the only professor at UCF who teaches the course, but overall it wasn't bad. She utilizes lecture capture to view the lectures online at a later time, and the assignments are available online. Due dates are provided ahead of time so there's no real excuse for late work in her course. She offers extra credit by doing makeups on the quizzes.

    Course highlights:

It was a great introductory course for statistics. It was a little difficult, but manageable if you don't have any background knowledge.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Purchasing StudyCube for the course is highly recommended.
