Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because you learn a lot about the financial aspects which is required in life if you deal with any type of finances. You learn about personal finances and also about the career aspect of finances such as someone who wants to start a business or just someone that wants to work in a corporate business.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about how businesses operate such as Operating, Investing and Financing cash flows. I also learned about current and long term liabilities and that is pretty much what most people have when they take out a loan for a house or a car.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would say to continue to work on the journal entries as continuously study because it's all about repetition in accounting and that will ensure that you keep everything fresh in your mind. Do your work when it's given and not wait until the last minute to do it all cause it can be overwhelming if you have to do three chapters of work all at once.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recumbent this course. This course is needed for several business majors as well as any administration majors. This course is extremely tough however, if you put in the time to understand it and learn it rather than just memorizing the material, it will all fall into place.

    Course highlights:

In this course, I was able to learn about financial statements as well as several laws and principles within the accounting field.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Accounting can be very challenging as well as hard to understand. The material eventually falls into place like puzzle pieces. If you do not understand a foundational concept, stop and ask questions because one concept builds on others.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This was one of my favorite courses taken at UCF. Professor Reinking is great. He teaches the class really well, provides a lot of practice material and is very willing to help students succeed! His class also leaves a lot of room for error such as, dropping a certain amount of homework assignments and possible extra credit opportunities for participating in research studies.

    Course highlights:

The highlight would have to be how well the lectures tied in with the homework and exams. There were no surprises and everything on the exams or quizzes was covered in the homework and practice problems. I learned basically the fundamentals of financial accounting. Everything from the foundation of financial reporting (debits and credits) to creating financial statements.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not be afraid to ask questions or go to the TA's for assistance. Even though accounting may not be for everyone, the resources are there to help you get an A.
