Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because Dr. Franco is extremely knowledgable in her field. Any question that I, or any other student, would have, she would be able to respond to immediately. This was a great help for me, who is virtually unskilled in any science matters. However, the class was sometimes disorganized. For example, on certain exams there would be missing pages, which threw us students off, at times.

    Course highlights:

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to Dr. Franco's lectures. She was thorough and skilled in explaining various concepts to us, such as converting between units of measurement, identifying redox and combustion reactions, and various laws (Boyle's, Charles', and Avogadro's). Furthermore, she did choose to place the power-points online, which personally helped me follow through with the lecture and take notes on every slide. I enjoy this type of note taking, as it is simpler to review than traditional note taking.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would suggest studying at home as much as possible. This course, although simple, requires a lot of work. Also, do the weekly exercises that demanded in that class. These will not be picked up and graded, but they are essential if one wants success in the tests. Finally, write notecards with important concepts for yourself. I can not stress how vastly important such actions are for the memory.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The professor is not present, and does not care about his student- he will not answer messages, and grades very harshly

    Course highlights:

I did not learn much- most of the course was cramming for exams, and even after cramming and studying for weeks I would rarely do well on exams. Much of the material was not covered in the textbooks

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

DO NOT TAKE THIS COURSE- IF PASSED DROP/ADD withdraw
