Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Beck is passionate about the subject and that shines through in his teaching. It makes the class all the more enjoyable.

    Course highlights:

Dr. Beck focused on liminality and alterity in literature. Considering these aspects in the stories helped me to become a more critical reader.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read carefully and considerately. Be thorough and include citations in discussions. If you do these things and keep up with the assignments, you should be fine.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Beck is a great professor who makes even dull material interesting.

    Course highlights:

I gained a great overall survey of English Literature pre-Contemporary Era.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

This course is required for many English degrees. If you are required to take it, you would be doing yourself a service by selecting Beck as your professor. He makes the material interesting and he is very fair with grading.
