Course Overview:
Take this class only if you absolutely need it and depending on your math placement score. It was an okay class, not to hard or too easy. All tests are taken in the math lab and there is a requirement of 2 hours in the MALL every week. You will pass if you put the time and effort into the class.
Course highlights:
This class was useful for preparing for pre-calc or calc 1.
Hours per week:
3-5 hours
Advice for students:
Actually do the work and pay attention in class. If you fall behind on the MALL hours or do not go to class, it will be hard.
This class was tough.
Course Overview:
I recommend this course for certain majors that require it. I am a biomed major and needed this course as a prereq for Calculus. The lectures are 50 minutes and I found I didn't learn much from them. All of the learning was done in the MALL, math lab, where you are required to do homework for at least 3 hours a week.
Course highlights:
Don't underestimate the MALL. It's an amazing resource that you need to take advantage of. The tutors walking around are very helpful and will never belittle you for not understanding.
Hours per week:
9-11 hours
Advice for students:
Do not slack or let yourself fall behind.
Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Course Overview:
I would recommend this course for students seeking a Career in Engineering. Its a great influence when taking Calculus and further math courses which you will need to know the material from the course.
Course highlights:
The Unit Circle, Law of Sines, Law of Cosines, Verifying proofs.
Hours per week:
3-5 hours
Advice for students:
Study and take good notes so that you can succeed on the Exams.
