Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend to those that neet to meet their gen ed requirements. The professor is very straightforward in his expectations and allows multiple attempts for tests.

    Course highlights:

The evolution of music in western civilization.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Purchase the connect for access to the book online because you need to access to listening guide.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this class. Though it wasn't a requirement for my major, I took it to satisfy one of my AA credits. It was a highly enjoyable class and the professor was great. You listen to music from different eras, learn about all the technical aspects that go into making a musical composition and have a few tests here and there.

    Course highlights:

My favorite part of this class was being able to learn about classical music more in depth. As a former ballet dancer, I grew up constantly listening to this era of music. It was very nostalgic to be able to go back and listen to many of these compositions more in depth as well as have the opportunity to learn of the history behind the piece.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would definitely advice to read the text book and listen to the compositions. It also helps to form a study group before in class tests. Though it isn't a difficult class, there are many little details to remember and having other people there to help you remember things will certainly help.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This class was probably the most insightful class I have taken in my life. Its discussion based and just overall amazing.

    Course highlights:

I gained a background to music I didn't have before and a background I didn't know there was.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Just be very active in your discussions and I'm sure you'll do great.
