    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend taking anatomy especially if you are going into the medical field because you need to have a strong foundation in the health field. Anatomy will allow you to memorize the human body muscles, bones, ligaments, tendons, arteries and veins. Yes, it is a lot of material but this is what the medical field is all about. Anatomy gives us the knowledge to further enhance our studies and provide connections of the human body that we had no understanding about. Once we have acquired the knowledge in anatomy and what the body comprises of, physiology would be the next step to put it all together and see how the body system works.

    Course highlights:

Dr. Samsam is an extremely hard professor, when I took his class I wrote notes and outlines of each chapter along with what he lectured in class. I put in hours of studying everyday, even on my off days. This course went into extreme depth but what I have learned now going into my clinical experience I am beyond grateful for this class. I am current scribe at Health Central Hospital and now when a patient talks about pain on her stomach, leg, neck, or back I can re-evaluate and locate what muscle, tendon or bone may be exacerbating with pain because of my background in anatomy. Anatomy allowed me to have excellent groundwork to apply this knowledge.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Having an open mind, conquering the questions that you need answered, going to office hours and repetitive memorization I would highly recommend to students taking this course. Anatomy is about the bodily structure of humans in which can help us apply knowledge to ourselves. For example, working out at the gym and acquiring an anatomy background allows us to have an understanding of what exact muscle we are going to work on.
