Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would go so far as to say that Professor Roney's writing class changed my life!!! She is brilliant, carefully guiding and challenging each student to inner and outer success. And she even encourages each student to submit certain of their works to journals! How encouraging is that? What a better world it is just having her in it!

    Course highlights:

Course highlights: Poetry and creative non-fiction and reading other students' writings. But it was the writing assignments throughout the week that really opened us up and enabled us to become better writers for writing and submitting pieces for our Final Portfolio, which was 45 percent of our grade. Loved the whole course.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Open yourself up and push yourself. Don't be afraid to "go there."

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class to anyone who is currently attending the University of Central Florida and taking Creative Writing as their major. Lana Ghannam is a wonderful teacher who knows how the creative writing process works and uses the online format of the class to the fullest.

    Course highlights:

During this course, I learned how to analyze different characters in order to make my own better. Over this course, I have read a number of unique short stories that have broadened my horizons and played a part in honing my craft.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

First and foremost, you must enter the class with an open mind willing to learn like with any class. I would also advise getting to know the different "craft elements" of creative writing as they are central to the course.
