Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course challenges you and gives you an idea of what college will be like. It is not a hard class but I guarantee you will not pass if you do not put forth all your effort. It is very important to come to class and stay on top of your assignments because Ms. May is not going to hold your hand. You are accountable for you and if you miss a day or decide not to do an assignment while in class, you have to arrange a time to make up the work. Do not expect her to hound you. She will remind you once or twice and after that it's on you. Overall it is a great class and she is a great teacher. You will be better prepared for college english once this course is over.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to effectively write long essays using correct grammar and more intelligent vocabulary. I also learned how to break down poems written in old english to better understand what is happening in the poem. This skill helped me get increasingly high scores on my quizzes and exams during this unit.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Always bring a writing utensil, a notebook, and an attitude that says you're ready to learn. She doesn't require you to take notes however, it would be in your best interest to do so. Also, go home and study the notes because that information will appear on a quiz and a test.
