Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

When first admitted to the AVID program, I had no clue about college or what it meant. I have learned a lot since 7th grade when I first joined. The knowledge now helps me with college applications and my future achievements.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were when we just have those days where we come in to class and ask all the questions we want about college life, applications, scholarships, and financial aid. Those days are the ones that I look forward to the most and cherish because knowledge really does make an impact on your future. Knowing what your ideal campus is and career coal is very important because that will be your life for the next 4 or more years after graduation. Learning what your comfort zone is like helps you realize what you would like to major in and volunteer at. AVID definitely assists you in opening yourself up to amazing opportunities that your community offers.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Do take what your teacher tells you seriously when they give you advice about testing and earning the grades you desire. You will regret it if you don't. You're going to regret not joining AVID. I have friends that wish were in AVID because they want the motivation our AVID coordinator gives us when it's college application season.
