    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend English three because it's the class where students begin to write real essays. I personally did not know what MLA or APA format was before I took this class. I also didn't know how to cite my sources. Overall I learned so much from this class that I know will help me in college as well as the work force, and I would recommend it to all eleventh graders.

    Course highlights:

In this course I learned how to write in APA as well as MLA format. I also learned how to cite my sources using a helpful website. The most useful thing I learned though, was how to manage my time. Essays take a long time to write and throughout the year I realized that if I wanted a good grade, I couldn't wait until the last minute to write the whole essay.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

A piece of advice I would offer another student considering this course is to make sure they have something that will give them access to the internet and Microsoft Word. This class consists of a lot of essays and research so it's very important to have access to the internet.
