Meetings Outside of Class
Not too easy. Not too difficult.
This course taught me that there is more to photography than just clicking a button or tapping a screen. The history of photography from cyanotypes and Van Dyke alternative processes to the technology of a Cannon. It teaches you darkroom skills the actual art behind photography. I love it and if I could take it 10 more times I would.
I gained knowledge about darkroom printing, where we have our own darkroom, chemicals and enlargers. I learned about alternative processes such as cyanotypes, salt printing and van dyke which was discovered in 1842 by Sir John Herschel. I learned about digital printing and photoshop. Toning, which is how to change the shadows and colors of a darkroom print. All of the ways of photographing from a digital, 35 mm, twin lens, pinhole, etc. How much angles matter, the rule of thirds, how to use a light meter, shutter speed, f-stops and much more. I highly recommend this class to anyone who would like to appreciate the I-phone.

Advice for students:
For this course I recommend students to never stop working. Shoot every weekend and execute every idea that crosses the mid. Always keep a sketchbook and always work on printing.
