    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it for anyone who will have to take it in college. The class has been the hardest class in my high school career but I have learned an incredible amount. The course is quite difficult but with the right mindset and focus, passing the AP test should come pretty easily. Even if you don't pass the AP exam, the course will over prepare you for biology in college.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course for me was genetics. While it was definetly one of the most difficult units, I was extremely interested in it and felt very knowledgeable in the subject once we finished. No other science class had gotten that in depth in the mechanics of genetics so I was joyous to have had the opportunity to learn about it.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed, you need focus. With the heavy amount of material needed to be taught in each unit, class time is turned into crunch time. Focusing during lectures will help you understand and get a basic knowledge of what we should know. While doing homework, focus is nessesary to fill he gaps and misunderstandings of the lecture. Keep an eye on the prize and remember what you have to do to accomplish your goals.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Taylor is a very engaging teacher and the information taught is interesting and fun to learn about. It also prepares you for the reading skills you need in college.

    Course highlights:

It's very interesting learning about the human aspects of biology teach you things you've never knew about yourself. Although the course is tough, it's worth taking and preparing yourself for college while learning new information.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to stay on top of the class, you need to read ahead. That is the best advice even for in college because when you discuss the book in class you will already have an understanding from the book.
