    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I wouldn't recommend. His tests are extremely hard and his lectures do not really help.

    Course highlights:

I did not learn much in his class because he was a dry difficult teacher.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the book homework and the practice tests (some of the questions he copys and pastes)

    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because Dr. Martin is an interesting teacher who really puts effort into explaining new concepts. I read bad reviews about him before taking the class, so I was always a little worried, but he really impressed me as a professor, and as a person he's pretty funny too.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about "energy and life" as he would say. This gave me more depth into core chemistry concepts.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I always did the homework problems in the textbook, and before exams I would do more problems similar to the assigned homework to get more practice.

    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

He is one of the best professors I've ever had while at the University of Florida. He really wants you to success, and he is incredibly helpful in his office hours. I flunked the first exam, but after going to office hours, I was able to get A's on the rest of the exams and an A in the course overall.

    Course highlights:

The material is much more in depth than CHM2045. You learn more about a few topics verses a little about many topics. I enjoyed CHM2046 much more than CHM2045.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

It's not an easy course where you can just sit back. If you put in the work, you will get the grade you want. Be sure to ask questions if you don't understand something. Office hours are there for you, use them.
