    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Lots of extra credit. Very difficult to understand him so the material being tested is hard to learn. You have to teach yourself

    Course highlights:

The extra credit. I learned the most about the fundamentals of chemistry

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Teach yourself and don't be afraid to ask your TA's for help

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would not recommend this class with this professor because he was very hard to understand and used many terms that I had not been familiar with at the time. He made the concepts harder than they needed to be. His quizzes were usually on material that he would teach the next class, which made it harder to study. He would tell the class to come by his office hours anytime but when you did he would get mad that you needed help because he felt like you were trying to waste his time and that you weren't trying hard enough. One of my favorite attributes about this professor is that he used a lot of visual aids in order to help the students actually visualize what was happening. Something that would definitely helped me be more successful in the course was to take the lab concurrently with the course. Unfortunately, it was not available due to the high amount of need for that particular course. This course allowed me to manage my time and balance my time well so that I was able to succeed.

    Course highlights:

I liked learning about the different properties of acids and bases. One of the most interesting things in my opinion were the Six Core Principles of Chemistry. This gave me a better roadmap of what I needed to study in order to be successful in the course.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you want a good way to study and learn the material quickly, get Study Edge. Study Edge shouldn't be used as an alternative to study but it definitely helps a lot with getting the material in a compact form in order to study more effectively.

    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course since the teacher was awesome and really knew the material. Chemistry is a big foundation for other classes that students have to take and thus doing well is needed.

    Course highlights:

This course was fun since there is a lab attached with it and the two relate. The material in this course is based on acid/base reactions and then specific atom interactions.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The best advice I have is to read the book and to do the homework the teacher assigns. I think that some students think that reading the textbook is not needed but it is really helpful for this course and the homework will help with the exams.
