    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This is a good course to take to learn about 3-D Design and CAD Software, no matter which branch of engineering you are. The first half of the course is brilliant: you learn the Solidworks software and can be certified in as short as a month. The second half of the course is a bit more intense becuase you prepare for a final design report that counts for a hefty portion of your grade. However, it is still very possible to get an A and you learn a lot of information about designing and building.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course include getting certified in Solidworks, being able to design and 3D print your own parts at the Rapid Prototyping Facility, and working with other people in the class on a group project.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do all of the homework assignments and keep an A for as long as you can because a lot portion of your grade comes from the last 1-3 weeks of the class.
