Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The most important things about this course is attendance. Success in this course is ensured if you try and follow the lecture material by the chapters in the textbook. The professors are generally specialists in a certain biological subject matter thus you have three different instructors. They are all different so it is important that you make yourself know. The lecture hall is big but generally the professors want to interact with the students so it is good to sit near the front and talk to them before lecture and participate during lecture. This not only helps you to learn in such a big classroom but shows your professor that you are serious about learning about their specialty. They will be more willing to help you out if they see this.

    Course highlights:

Subject matter wise you learn about cell biology, genetics, and evolution. Generally each unit is comprised of 6-8 chapters. Though this seems like a lot of chapters if you keep on top of the reading and go to class you are able to easily learn and absorb the material.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I would suggest forming a small study group to discuss the chapters and share notes. Make sure that you read each chapter yourself at least once so that the group discussions are supplemental. Get help from the professors. They will help you if they see you are a responsible student who cares about their education! Communication is key!!!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I love biology more than chemistry so if you like more of the biology side of science then you will love this class.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were the lectures and how they were pretty easy to understand. I learned a lot about parts of the cell, plants, genetics, and evolution.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I used Smokin Notes a lot and they actually really helped. I would advise staying up to date with the assignments and the reading so that you do not cram everything at the end because it is a lot of memorization and application.
