    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this class to anyone who actually wants to learn anatomy. This class is difficult, but if you put in hours of hard work and studying, you will not only do well in the class, you will also learn lots of material. You will also be able to apply this information in various clinical situations. Her tests are very application-heavy, so you must know the material, as well as be able to apply it to different situations.

    Course highlights:

Doctor Alghren is a very enthusiastic lecturer, and it shows in her teaching style. She is also very accommodating towards students, as well as very available and helpful. In addition to the material in the class, I learned that hard work pays off. If you put in the hours of studying this material, you will do well in the course.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Students that plan to take this course MUST go to lectures in order to do well in this class. The course is very fast-paced, and it can sometimes be overwhelming. Doctor Alghren also gives study tips that are available on the syllabus, which offer alternate studying tips than I was used to. If you aren't a very good studier, I suggest you follow some of these tips, and you will do well in the class.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Although this is a requirement for many science-based majors, I loved this course and it was very helpful. It has provided me with an amazing foundation for learning about audiology, which I currently study. I think Dr. Alghren is what makes the class worth taking, though. She is pretty tough but is an ingenious professor and cares a lot about her students' success.

    Course highlights:

The highlight for me was the lab. I really enjoyed getting to look at the models and label them and really visualize the structure and function of the human body. In this class, I mostly just learned the names of different anatomical structures according to what body system they belong to (gastrointestinal, urinary, cardiovascular, etc.). We learned some basic functions but nothing to in-depth.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would highly recommend going to lectures and labs. There was a time during the semester where I fell behind a little and it was very difficult to catch up.
