    Course Overview:

    Understanding the history of ancient art helps to understand more relative art movements such as Modernism. But comprehending the history of art does is not merely helpful for art students. It helps student perfect analytical and descriptive skills, as well as acquire an understanding for culture and the development of the world.

    Course highlights:

    I was able to make connections to the modern world, as well as connections to art movements such as Futurism, Cubism, and Modernism. I learned crucial differenced between description and analysis.

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

    The best way to succeed in this course is to read materials and watch videos related to each lecture before the actual lecture so when you attend the lecture you have a background knowledge when approaching topics, allowing you to better understand topics

    Course Overview:

    Very expansive and in depth look at the development of artistic styles across ancient and medieval European history.

    Course highlights:

    Learned a lot about periods of history I knew little about, such as ancient Egypt, bronze age civilization, pre-civilization Europe, etc.

    3-5 hours

    Use flashcards. Study with other people.
