    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would not recommend taking this course with this professor because it has a heavy work load. It will be best to attend all lectures even if they aren't attendance required. This professor like to put many of his lecture word problems, clicker questions, and help session questions in his exams. He is a very good professor just hard to follow every now and then.

    Course highlights:

If you want to learn some chem before chem 1 this course teaches you all you need to know. I found it very helpful to make your own flashcards to remember chemical names and formulas.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

do all the practice problems and go to help sessions and review sessions for exams.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

If you didn't take AP Chem in high school or its been a while since you've taken chemistry, I recommend taking the course just as a nice refresher. If you're confident in your chemistry skills, don't waste your time on this course.

    Course highlights:

It was a nice refresher since it had been a while since I had taken a Chemistry course, so I relearned all the important rules of chem and how to solve certain types of problems.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do a lot of practice problems in order to study for the exams. The exams are only like 20 questions or so and it's not always multiple choice, and they're a large part of your grade. Also, if you're taking it online, exams are done through ProctorU so that's a weird thing to get used to. Quizzes aren't proctored and are relatively easy as long as you know how to solve the problems. I took the online class and I didn't listen to a lecture once and still passed with an A-. Her lectures didn't really help me much, everything is available either in the book or in online references like KhanAcademy or other YouTube videos.

    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Chris is an amazing professor. He truly cares about his students and explains the lessons throughly. He breaks down the topic in order to make it easy to understand.

    Course highlights:

I freshened up on some chemistry concepts I had previously learned.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the extra practice problems !!! they are the key to success in this class. Go to tutoring, if you are struggling there are so many opportunities for everyone to success. Study ahead of time, do not leave unlearned concepts for the end !!!
