    | Would highly recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

As a biology major with a premed track, people would assume dance has no place or value in my course selection. Yet, dance has taught my creativity, power, and love, essential things for success in my future. Being able to grasp the creative side of your brain allows you to perform well in other situations in life, whether it be an unknown complication over the operation table or trying a new recipe in a cookbook. This course will help you round out your edges by stepping out of your comfort zone.

    Course highlights:

In this course, you get to dabble in various dance styles from traditional african dancing to ballet. All while, you learn the history of dance and the way it was used throughout history in religion, cultural, spiritual, and recreational activities.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't be afraid to put yourself out there. Dancing in front of people can be nerve-racking, but so is public speaking and presenting an idea to your boss. This class helps you gain confidence in yourself and learn to stand up tall in front of others. Take the opportunity!
