Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is a graduate-level course that takes you through the history of American popular music. Everything from Jazz to Country to Hip Hop was covered in-depth with fascinating details provided along the way.

    Course highlights:

I have always loved learning about popular music, so to get an in-depth look at its history was a blast. The teacher was engaging and very helpful with assignments, which all served to further reinforce concepts from the book.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not wait until last minute to complete assignments, they can be time-consuming. Also, there is a final paper at the end of the course that is very in-depth, so be working on that throughout the semester, especially with finding sources.
