    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

The class is small and discussion-based, which is a refreshing change from the large 300+ student lectures that prevail in large universities. The material is also interesting, especially because the professor juxtaposes old and newer movies. Some students, however, display a shy demeanor in class, providing for a stale discussion over topics that should incite plenty of opinionated statements.

    Course highlights:

I learned some basic elements of the movie making industry and if I were to major in Film, this class would serve as a fine introductory class. You not only learn some basic terms for camera work and on-scene cinematic elements, but you also discuss the presence of timeless themes within various distinct genres.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Essentially, stay on top of your assignments and put forth effort onto your writing assignments as well, simply because the professor will grade you on the quality of your writing.
