    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It is a difficult class. You are graded based on a rank system. You learn a lot. Lot of reading each day.

    Course highlights:

Misfolding of b-sheets causes prions. How DNA is translated in P, E, and A site. Conditions of the lac operon. (what happens when there is glucose or not? Lactose or not?) Renin-Angiosystem Synthesis always begins in N-teriminal.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

LISTEN to the lectures. Take notes on them. Attend class. Study everyday and every minute. If you want a really good score, try to read ahead, make this class first priotery.

    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you are pre-med, you'll have to take this course. However, you learn so much information in such a little amount of time that it is definitely worthwhile.

    Course highlights:

Dr. Cain tells really silly jokes, and manages to relate the material to real-life, including celebrities. You learn everything there is to know about metabolic processes, genetics, etc. while also learning (and being tested on) Angelina Jolie.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Record the lectures, go to class, rewrite your notes. Stay on top of it, its A LOT of info.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you like biology, chemistry, physics, and microbiology, this course is for you. It's difficult but the information is a lot more interesting over the other basic science courses.

    Course highlights:

I loved Exam 2 material - carbohydrates, lipids, glycolysis, Krebs cycle. You also learn about the nitrogen cycle, DNA replication, PCR, amino acids, a lot of chemistry.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to class, look at all the lectures because that's where information comes from. TAs are your best friend and they're so helpful. Keep up with the work.
