    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

The course was interesting in the topics that it covered. Learning in detail about common diseases that afflict huge numbers of our population, nationally and globally, is useful and surprising in some instances. Reading the book would be sufficient to pass the class.

    Course highlights:

I learned about sexually transmitted diseases, viral infections, bacterial infections, parasites, and all of their modes of transmission and their symptoms. The only class assignments were 3 essays that helped teach us about one topic that interested us in far greater detail than was taught by the professor.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the book. READ the book. Attend class and pay attention to the powerpoints. Occasionally, the professor will add information that is not covered in the book, but he will ask about it on the exam.
