Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is a class where you will learn more about yourself and get to teach others! It is a lot of work but it is worth it especially once you get to teach in a classroom for 2 months. I got to learn different ways to study and how a ones brain develops over the years to help understand ways best for them to learn.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this class was being able to teach my own by the end of the year for 2 months. It was incredible being able to see a difference I made in the lives of my special needs students. I worked alongside of them not only during my class period to teach them but I would also regularly visit, eat lunch and go on field trips with them.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be sure to stay on top of all of your assignments especially whenever you go into your own classroom and have to make your portfolio.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is a fun and engaging course that really shows what it's like to be a teacher. You have the opportunity to student teach and it gives you valuable resources for your future career.

    Course highlights:

The biggest highlight of the course was student teaching. I learned how to work with elementary students and how to publicly speak better. I want to be an elementary school teacher, so it does not only give me in a edge when entering the job field, but it also helps me understand what I'll be giving back to my community.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't take this class just as a GPA booster. If you really want to be an educator or work in a field with children, this course will be a fantastic experience, but if not, then you will not enjoy the entire 4th quarter.
