    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Through this course, I was able to learn so much more than I would ever have expected. Besides learning everything required by the AP curriculum exceedingly well, I was also able to learn about other skills such as identifying organs by simply looking at the picture of one cell. Although these tasks may seem useless, they provide students with an interest in the health sciences to experience Biology to a different extent.

    Course highlights:

Some of my favorite moments from this course include observing open-heart surgery at the nearby St. Luke's Texas Heart Institute in the prestigious Texas Medical Center. These real life experiences provide students with the opportunity to experience their education firsthand and to see the practical application of their education in the workplace.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study ahead of time! Waiting till the night before a test is not going to help you in this course. It is important that you pay attention in class. Although cramming may seem effective, the magnitude of the difficulty of this course requires a more comprehensive study strategy.
