    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Koopman polarizes students: half love him, and half can't wait to get out of his class.

    Course highlights:

I'm one of the former, and benefited tremendously from his ideas and approaches to solving interpersonal issues and getting things done.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Exams were odd, didn't represent the class, so grading wasn't really fair.

    | Would recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to other students since the professor always made sure to sit down with the student one on one and help them along with any papers that were due. It meant a lot to me to have a professor take time in helping me figure out what was wrong with my paper or what might help me better improve certain areas of my essay.

    Course highlights:

He really helped push along the basics of English. For example, he helped students further understand fragmented sentences and comma splices and if you needed help he'd give you a worksheet (not mandatory) to complete. You could go over it with him during the next class or whenever you had time. This class also helped to broaden my vocabulary!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You have to complete your work. The teacher is very relaxed and always willing to help others with there assignments, but if you do not complete the assigned work then you will probably not get a grade you are happy with. I would also suggest that you always turn in the rough draft whenever the opportunity is presented since this will not only allow you better one on one time with the professor, but it will also allow you to rewrite your final paper for a better grade if you don't do so well the first time. He will not allow you to try again on your final paper if you did not turn in a completed rough draft to him.
