    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It is a rigorous course. Although it is very challenging and pretty time-consuming, it sets your mind up for a good mental practice. I took it as a dual enrollment student and finished with a B. This coursehas you thinking outside the box and really breakdown detailed questions.

    Course highlights:

I loved learning about the basics of chemistry the most. Even though it is the simplest part of the course, it was the most interesting part for me. I learned a lot about physical and chemical properties that i didn't learn in high school.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I recommend studying hard for the exams and taking the time to really put together nice lab reports. In the future, chemistry class professors love seeing some nice lab reportz.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Well Chemistry can be a difficult subject overall, but taking it with Dr. Tang makes it's bearable and somewhat enjoyable.

    Course highlights:

I gained an actual understanding on what is Chemistry. I think before in my other classes I was kind of just there in presence but not actually there.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Study, study, study! You can never over study.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I'd recommend this course because it is deeply connected to biology, it teaches about the periodic table which is necessary in science. The course teaches you how to relate one concept to another as almost everything is connected. We learn about how quantum numbers are formed and how important they are in the classification of the elements in the periodic table.

    Course highlights:

In this class you learn how to convert from one unit to another, how to determine the polarity of a molecule, what molecules are, how to determine if a solution is acidic or basic, what reduction and oxidation are, how the position of the elements in the periodic table affect how positive or negative the atom is, how big or small and electronegativity.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be sure to study extra hard, write out through notes. Do not miss a single day of class. Do group study to better understand the work, if homework is given, be sure to complete that as it is a great way to really understand the classwork, which makes it easier to study for tests and quizzes.
