Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class was well worth the money. Civil litigation was very hands on, we even created our own case file and followed through a mock case. My professor was extremely intelligent on the information. It was a bonus that she was actually an attorney with a multitude of information on civil litigation. I am enrolled and ready to take civil litigation two this semester.

    Course highlights:

I gained so much insight from this course. I learned how to put together an appropriate case file and how to effectively take notes during a client interview. Professor Toscano was very thorough when grading our document assignments in the same way an attorney would. We learned how to manipulate documents and forms to fit the specific needs of our case.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

This is an intro level course I found it extremely straight forward and easy if you simply pay attention during lecture. Professor was always willing to look at your documents before the due date to go over mistakes with you.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This professor is a practicing attorney who knows her field and wants to teach everything she can to her students. She bounced around between foster homes growing up, but committed herself to her education and personal success, and she will gladly share her story and advice to any students who want to follow in her footsteps. She is a great motivator and is very patient and understanding if anyone needs any extra help. She conveys the information in a clear and easy to understand format, and I never leave class feeling like I didn't understand what we covered.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about the process used in civil litigation. We learned all about discovery, including interrogatories, requests to produce, and requests for admissions. We also drafted documents related to the process, so we could see exactly how this information is implemented in daily work in the paralegal profession.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would definitely recommend taking this class with this teacher. It may sound a little intimidating from the course description, but she really walks you through the process in detail and gives lots of examples of how to use the skills.
