Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is one unlike any other. The course is heavy in content but includes a lot of class discussions and labs. The information is very interesting and enjoyable to learn and you will be amazed at how much knowledge you gain by the end of the semester. Overall, the class is a blast and is definitely my favorite class of all of the classes I've taken in high school.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were the dissections because they allowed one to apply the knowledge learned in class to the specimen being dissected. Another highlight was learning all of the different body systems in detail including the axial and appendicular skeleton of the skeletal system and the different skin layers of the integumentary system.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Any student taking this course needs to put in the work to get the results. The class will seem overwhelming at first but the more work and studying you put into it the better the knowledge will come to you. The course gives two to three quizzes a week but these are to ensure all students are staying on top of the assignments given in class. Overall if you do what you're supposed to do you will succeed in this class and will also learn a lot that you never knew before.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course because I found the course very interesting. I think that learning about the human body and all the small components that makes our bodies work were very interesting. Even though I have no desire to further my education in the medical field, learning about the body was a very knowledgable for me.

    Course highlights:

Some of the highlights for me during this course were learning about random little facts about our bodies that I didn't know. One of my favorite chapters during this course was cardiovascular system. I loved learning about the direct flow that blood takes through to the body; for blood to receive oxygen, go to the heart, then be sent to the body, and then for it to return to the heart to start all over again.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

My main advice to any students that plan to take this course is to really read the textbook and take good notes. There were a few nights that I wasn't able to read/take notes on the textbook, and that lead to bad quiz grades. So you just need to make the time to read the textbook.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Anatomy and Physiology was the best class of my entire high school career. It truly taught me helpful information that made me aware of anything health related in daily life and in the hospital situation. Before taking this class a student should know that they must be able to have a drive to do work because a lot of learning is self-taught. If a student is driven and actually interested in the medical field, they should definitely take this class!

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course are the overall anatomy of all of the systems in the body and the medical terms. After reviewing diagrams of body systems, I still know most of the anatomical locations of major and minor organs in the body. Lastly, the Medical Madness tournament gives you a fun and entertaining push to study your vocab and after reviewing so much, the words are hard to forget!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

My biggest advice would be to do the book work that is assigned every night even though he does not check it. The book work will help you to review the material which you covered in class and also you will learn stuff by yourself that you will be tested on. Also, do not get too caught up on getting rough grades on the quizzes as long as you studied and tried your best.
