    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    It gets you reading the classics like Aristotle Plato Dewey Locke and Marx and then see how that ancient writing applies to today's classroom, community, nation, and world.

    Course highlights:

    Reading the classics is very enlightening because it strengthens technical reading ability - all that verbal reasoning that goes on in deciphering thick text. Also, the philosophers analyze discuss and make sense of thoughts we have in our daily lives such as is it moral to abide by society's rules in all cases since it preserves the moral code or is it better to think for oneself in certain cases.

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

    Read ahead of time and use the online writing lab to check your work before submitting papers.
